About Us

"The Vale College is founded by Solemilia Educational Trust and was inaugurated as a co-educational secondary school on Monday November 7, 1994. "

Since the establishment of The Vale College, the school has continued to distinguish itself exemplarily by providing holistic education, as evident from the students we graduate each year, true to our watchword 'Character and Learning.'

Our Vision

Raising Lifelong Learners and Leaders

Core Values

Character | Integrity | Teamwork | Innovation

Our Mission

To be the first choice of parents and children who seek an excellent, modern education, boarding or day, in a co-educational environment, based on breadth of curriculum, sound discipline, independence of mind and service to the community.

ORGANISATION

The Vale College has a maximum capacity for 50 new students annually in JSS1 and fills existing vacancies in JSS2, SSS1, and SSS2. Every class in the college is divided into 2 arms of not more than 25 students each.

Classes are small, and the staff can closely monitor the academic ability of each student. Lessons are supported by a carefully constructed “Enrichment” timetable and assessment for learning, which allows for further discussion between teacher and student. Students are encouraged through positive reinforcement to excel.

While high academic standards are a priority, we believe that by educating the whole child, we expose the inherent qualities and potential in each one. We, therefore, offer a wide range of co-curricular and robust sporting activities. We also encourage our students to explore the spiritual and moral dimensions of life.

Students are presented for the Oyo State and the National Examinations Council (NECO) Junior Secondary School Certificate Examinations, which they take in JSS3.

Senior students (SSS1-SSS3) are prepared for both the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), for which they are presented in SSS3. However, our curriculum is designed to include the JAMB examination syllabus.
