The Vale College has two professional music instructors who offer instruction on Brass instruments, Woodwind instruments, Percussion, Strings, and Piano. There are some part-time instructors that come in when training on special aspects is required. Students who show the ability to handle the extra workload associated with learning a second instrument are allowed to do so. In order to extend the opportunity of participating in band to pianists, most of them learn another instrument, usually percussion.
